When the account balance drops to 2000 yuan, I don’t think about where the turnaround opportunity is; there’s only one thought in my mind: this money must stay alive.

It’s not principal; it’s the last bit of blood left in the account after a big loss. So I set a strict rule for myself — never blow up the account again.

How to survive? I only did three things.

**The first is to completely break down the position.** Divide 2000 yuan into 5 parts, only take one part at a time, and the remaining 4 parts always stay in the account sleeping. It sounds conservative, but this is the logic that as long as your bullets aren’t all fired, the market can’t kill you. Many people like to go all-in and gamble, but one wave of reversal wipes them out — I don’t want to experience that kind of death anymore.

**The second is to make stop-loss and take-profit rules a strict code.** Stop-loss at 3%, take-profit at 6% to 10%. Max loss per trade is 12 yuan, and on average, I can make over 30 yuan per trade. I never expect a single trade to double; as long as the overall probability favors me, that’s enough.

**The third is to treat discipline as more important than the market.** Not all patterns are traded, only the ones I’m familiar with. I focus on breakouts. When the setup is in place, I exit immediately. Every trade must have a stop-loss, no exceptions.

And the result? In one month, I made 70 trades, winning 42, with a win rate of about 60%.

Let’s do another calculation: the average reward-to-risk ratio per trade is such that doubling the principal is just a matter of time. I turned 2000 yuan into 60,000 in 43 days. It’s not luck; frankly, it’s from that brainless all-in gambler mentality to a real trading mode.

You might think that with 1000 yuan, you can slowly grow it; if you play recklessly, 100,000 yuan can be wiped out just the same. There are plenty of market opportunities; what’s truly scarce is — the people who can survive until the next opportunity arrives.
