Recently, many people have been saying that Ethereum is cooling off, and they've all moved to SOL and BNB. Indeed, from 2023 to now, these two chains have attracted a large number of new users due to their low transaction fees and low barrier to token issuance. In comparison, Ethereum seems a bit quiet. Plus, Ethereum's market performance has been mediocre over the past two years, which can easily test people's patience.
But I still remain optimistic about Ethereum. The reason is simple—it's never stopped upgrading. Although fees used to be an issue, they are continuously being optimized. Honestly, most of the Meme coins that pop up daily on SOL and BNB can't last more than a day. This highly competitive PVP ecosystem results in retail investors being the biggest victims of cuts.
Looking at Ethereum, while big gains like the "Big Golden Dog" can happen, the depth and security of its ecosystem are real and solid. Next year, the US dollar may face depreciation pressure, which often triggers major market movements. Based on current trends, Ethereum is likely to see a rebound in 2026, possibly breaking previous highs and reaching new heights.
The community has never let up. The winter of 2025 may be long, but everyone is still holding on, believing that spring will eventually arrive. The community has also been actively promoting charity projects, from orphanages in Bhutan to schools in India, demonstrating the ecosystem's commitment through tangible actions. Spring might be closer than we think.
