Kwon Yo-sep: The First Korean to Found an Exchange
The first person of Korean nationality to establish a cryptocurrency exchange is Kwon Yo-sep(Yo Sub Kwon). In November 2012, he co-founded the cryptocurrency exchange Coinsetter(Coinsetter) in New York, USA. This was about a year before Korea’s first exchange, Korbit, and at the time, it was one of the most technically sophisticated exchanges.
The Founding of Coinsetter
Coinsetter was co-founded by Kwon Yo-sep and Jaron Lukasiewicz(Jaron Lukasiewicz). Kwon Yo-sep is a relatively unknown figure in Korea; his name briefly appeared in the local community in November 2013, and that was the first and last time. However, he was quite well-known overseas.
