According to DL News, citing South Korean outlet Dailian, the Supreme Court upheld a four-year prison sentence for a cryptocurrency exchange employee who assisted North Korean hackers in recruiting a South Korean Army captain in exchange for Bitcoin. The employee received approximately $487,000 worth of BTC from North Korean hackers and paid the captain about $33,500 in BTC as compensation. The court ruled that the employee violated South Korea’s National Security Act, stating that his actions posed a serious threat to national security. The involved army captain had previously been sentenced to ten years in prison and fined for violating the Military Secrets Protection Act. #CryptoNews #Korean #BTC
