Trading in the crypto world is like surviving in the jungle—those who are too greedy end up losing everything, while the timid can only watch the show. The ones who truly survive are those with a plan. My secret is simple: divide the principal into three parts, and each part has its own role.
**Part One: Short-term Quick Gains (1200U)**
This is for "cutting through blood with a knife." The rules are strict—only two trades per day. My approach combines 5-minute K-line charts with RSI indicators: when RSI enters the oversold zone and a bullish crossover appears, open a long position; when it hits the overbought zone and a death cross occurs, close immediately. Stop-loss is set below 3% for each trade—no mercy.
The key point to understand: short-term profits are not about doubling your money but about increasing the probability of success and maintaining discipline. For example, if a coin rebounds after a sharp drop and I catch a 5% rise, I exit immediately. Some people get greedy and wait for a double, but often they end up losing everything. That’s the difference.
**Part Two: Trend Riding (1200U)**
The hardest part of trend trading isn’t entering but waiting. I focus only on weekly charts. I wait until EMA30 crosses above EMA60, combined with increased volume and a breakout above previous highs. Only then do I take action.
For example, before Bitcoin’s halving, I identified BNB’s potential early and started participating in ecosystem mining, achieving an annualized return of 24%. The secret is simple: when a trend starts, don’t guess the top or bottom—just follow it. Take profits once you gain 30%, withdraw the principal, and let the rest ride with a trailing stop to lock in profits.
**Part Three: Emergency Fund (1200U)**
This money stays untouched during normal times, reserved for black swan events in the crypto world. Only two situations use it: one, when leveraged positions are close to liquidation and need topping up; two, during extreme market panic when a rare bottom opportunity appears.
For example, during the 312 bloodbath, Bitcoin dropped to 3000U, but I didn’t rush in blindly. I waited until it stabilized and showed clear signs of bottoming out before using this emergency fund to buy the dip, rather than gambling at the most desperate moment. This money is your lifeline.
In short, don’t put all your chips into one strategy. Some cut losses on short-term trades, others get caught in trends, but as long as you diversify, there’s always one part that can survive.
