Clearing losing positions is easier said than done; how many people can really cut their losses? I think most people just talk about clearing out, while still hoping for a rebound in their hearts. The distribution of chips shows that this end-of-year sell-off wave is actually a good opportunity to release risk, but the problem is, you need to first figure out whether your strategy has truly failed or if you've just been manipulated by emotions. Anyway, in my framework, losing positions that have already formed must be cut, but don’t recklessly sell based on these "motivational chicken soup" style advice. Wait for more interesting entry points.
