[ 1/2 ] A London weather forecaster has inadvertently become a crypto millionaire.
Allow me to introduce you to Hans, an average meteorologist from London who each morning looked out of the window and thought
"Rain again... what a surprise."
One of the days, a colleague introduced him to Polymarket, saying:
"Hans, you can bet on the weather there."
Hans smirked:
"I understand the weather in London better than my own wife."
First bet:
"Will the temperature in London be between 55-58°F on the 28th of November?"
Hans looked over his weather charts, smiled, and put up $92,632.
Outcome: +$1,111,107
His wife asked: "Where have you been?"
Hans: "At work… kind of."
After that, it only escalated:
"New York temp: 82–83°F?" +$350,845
His work behavior changed too. It was as if he was a different person completely.
Hans stopped worrying about his work and stopped taking things personally.
Colleagues asked "Hans, are you all right?"
Hanslooking at his cell phone: "Yeah… Just calm now. Probably winter depression.”
By this time, the balance in his accounts was already several million dollars.
And it all began with one thought: "I know what the weather will be like in London today."
Moral: Just because a task can be very boring, doesn’t mean you can’t earn a million bucks from it.
More so if you happen to be residing in London, or if you can even read a thermometer properly.
p.s. Hans is now predicting the weather in the Maldives. But he only gambles on London. Because other things remain the same.

That's exactly how "boring" meteorologists outplay impulsive traders.
