Last night, the US stock market continued to show a weak trend, with the three major indices almost all under pressure. The Dow Jones fell by 0.20%, the S&P 500 declined by 0.14%, and the Nasdaq retreated by 0.24%. Overall, the market lacked clear upward momentum.
Interestingly, the divergence within the tech sector is becoming more pronounced. Tesla slightly decreased by 1%, but chip manufacturer Intel rose against the trend by 1.7%. As a leader in the AI wave, Nvidia dipped slightly by 0.3%, but remains firmly near its all-time high, reflecting market confidence in its long-term prospects.
On the Chinese concept stock front, there were some bright spots. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index rose slightly by 0.26%, but individual stock performance varied significantly. Baidu's stock surged by 4.4%, hitting a recent high and becoming a market focus. The new energy sector also performed well, with Xpeng Motors up by 3.7%, further confirming the market’s long-term optimism for China's smart electric vehicle sector.
Looking behind these fluctuations, the market is re-positioning itself. Although the overall market remains under pressure, investors are focusing on areas with clear growth logic—artificial intelligence, electric vehicles, chips, and other cutting-edge technologies. This divergence reflects both risks and the emergence of structural opportunities. Especially in the cryptocurrency market, the performance of mainstream coins like BTC and ETH is often highly correlated with the health of the tech sector. When traditional tech stocks show divergence, digital asset market participants need to make precise directional choices rather than blindly follow the trend.
