If cross-chain technology is truly perfected and liquidity isn't locked up, the entire ecosystem's vitality will immediately surge. Currently, each public chain operates independently, and user experience is terrible. But the problem is, existing cross-chain solutions are too complex, with high barriers to entry, and only a few can actually be implemented successfully. This area indeed has the most potential. If seamless interaction can be achieved, DeFi will truly begin. Multi-chain connectivity sounds great, but it's too difficult to implement.
