2.66 million ETH have been fully unstaked and digested, now 1 million are in line to enter — the staking trend has really reversed.
【Blockchain Rhythm】On-chain monitoring data shows that in mid-September last year, when ETH surged to an annual high of $4,700, a total of 2.66 million ETH were withdrawn from staking. After more than three months of market digestion, this massive withdrawal order has now been mostly cleared—only 80,000 ETH are still waiting to be unlocked.
According to the news, the withdrawal process of these 2.66 million ETH was accompanied by a significant drop in ETH’s price. From $4,700 in September to the current $3,100, a decline of 34%. It is clear that this large-scale staking withdrawal coincided with the price decline.
But the current situation is completely opposite. Ethereum treasury company Bitmine has recently made a large entry. In just 8 days, they have injected 593,152 ETH into the staking pool. This move has triggered a chain reaction—the number of ETH queued to stake has now exceeded 1 million.
This contrast is quite interesting: from large-scale withdrawals to now large-scale entries, the sentiment shift in the staking market is very pronounced. The behavior change of institutions and major players often reflects market expectations adjustments. The current phenomenon of a significant increase in staking queue numbers seems to indicate that the market has developed a different outlook on ETH’s future performance.
