Ctrip International Platform integrates stablecoins, USDT and USDC payments, unlocking a new experience for outbound travel
The integration of travel and crypto payments has made new progress. Trip.com, the international version of Ctrip, recently launched a stablecoin payment option, allowing users to pay directly for hotels and flights using USDT or USDC. This feature is supported by Triple-A, a licensed crypto payment service provider based in Singapore.
Wide Range of Supported Blockchains
This upgrade covers multiple mainstream blockchain ecosystems. Ethereum, Tron, Polygon, Solana, Arbitrum One, and TON are all integrated, enabling users to choose different stablecoins on various chains according to their preferences. This multi-chain deployment reduces user costs and increases payment flexibility.
Booking Process Comparison: Stablecoin Payments Are More Simplified
In practical terms, stablecoin payments offer significant convenience. When booking a hotel, users only need to provide their name and email to complete the transaction, greatly simplifying the traditional process of filling out detailed personal information. However, purchasing flights still requires submitting passport and other identity information to comply with international aviation regulations.
This means that for travelers needing only short-term accommodation, paying with USDT can achieve “minimal privacy exposure.” Ctrip’s move also marks the accelerating adoption of stablecoins in mainstream commercial scenarios.
