Looking at Dusk's plans for this year, several key actions are straightforward and direct.
DuskEVM mainnet is set to launch in Q1 this year. The technical groundwork has long been laid; the DuskDS upgrade in December last year was essentially pre-launch preparation. After the upgrade, issues with EVM compatibility will be resolved, allowing developers to write contracts in Solidity without relearning, thereby lowering the on-chain entry barrier. It sounds simple, but for a niche public chain, this is the key to unlocking its ecosystem.
But what’s truly attractive isn’t EVM compatibility itself, but what comes afterward. The roadmap mentions collaborating with NPEX to promote tokenized securities, and Quantoz’s compliant stablecoin EURQ. Both have obtained regulatory licenses from the European Union and are following a legitimate, serious approach. If they can truly issue financial products on-chain that meet MiCA standards, it will be highly appealing to traditional institutions.
Chainlink CCIP integration is also in the plan; this is a cross-chain communication channel. As a mid-to-long tail chain, liquidity has always been a bottleneck for Dusk. If CCIP can connect to major ecosystems like Ethereum and BNB, tokenized assets could flow across chains, truly opening up application scenarios. Some community analyses have also mentioned that CCIP integration could attract more Solidity developers to try it out.
According to the schedule, EVM will go live in Q1, and by Q2, we should see a beta version of the first RWA applications. But honestly, regulation has never been fast. To truly run tokenized assets smoothly, many steps are involved, including fund custody, clearing and settlement, and compliance review. Dusk can control the technology side, but regulatory approval and institutional cooperation are highly uncertain.
Based on community discussions, expectations for this year are quite high. However, there are also some voices of skepticism, as the RWA story has been told for several years with few projects actually landing. If Dusk can produce a few tangible cases by 2026, market perception will definitely shift qualitatively. Conversely, if they keep talking about plans until the end of the year, the enthusiasm might fade.
Currently, $DUSK is priced at $0.30, with a total market cap of $146 million. The market is clearly pricing in this roadmap. Whether these expectations will be met can be seen by the end of the year.
