On the road to Web3 scalability, decentralized storage has always been a major challenge. Especially for large files like images and videos, traditional solutions are either ridiculously slow or prohibitively expensive.
Recently, I came across the Walrus project, and its approach is quite interesting. As a decentralized storage network, it focuses on optimizing the processing efficiency of raw data (Blobs). This architecture, when applied to high-performance public chains like Sui, is a perfect match—high throughput combined with low-cost storage, solving two pain points at once.
As the ecosystem develops, the demand for such infrastructure will become increasingly rigid. From the perspective of infrastructure development and the overall opportunity in the DePin track, storage networks are indeed worth paying attention to. Especially in the current era of explosive data growth, whoever can provide a stable and efficient storage layer will hold the key to Web3 data infrastructure access.
