NVIDIA's personal AI Supercomputer goes on sale this week.
Jin10 Data reported on October 14 that NVIDIA (NVDA.O) will begin selling its DGX Spark “personal AI supercomputer.” This computer is powerful enough for users to handle complex AI models, and its compact size allows it to be used on a desktop. NVIDIA stated that Spark will be available for online ordering on its official website starting October 15, and it will also be sold through some partners and retailers in the United States. The company had previously announced a price of $3,000 when Spark was first unveiled earlier this year, but according to an infographic in NVIDIA's press release, the price of the DGX Spark appears to have been adjusted to $3,999. Most PC manufacturers will also launch custom versions, such as Acer's Veriton GN100, which is similarly priced at $3,999. Spark offers performance that previously could only be provided by expensive and power-hungry data centers. It is expected to drive the popularity of AI, which is particularly significant for researchers.
