According to Mars Finance, on November 4th, Meitu founder Cai Wensheng stated at Hong Kong Fintechweek 2025 that the previous investment of 650 million HKD to purchase the entire building in Tin Hau to create an AI-Web3 startup center was intended to set a precedent, providing a space to incubate startups in the heart of Hong Kong. The building is just a one-minute walk from the subway station and is equipped with convenient dining and accommodation facilities. Currently, the building is fully occupied by AI and Web3 companies. Cai hopes that other real estate developers will jointly explore this trend and provide a better entrepreneurial environment for the AI and Web3 industry in Hong Kong. The rich talent pool in Hong Kong has laid the foundation for the future incubation of startups, and there is hope that the Hong Kong government can provide more guidance to the public and industry professionals to support the development of AI and Web3 startups. Cai Wensheng also mentioned that the market capitalization of native Crypto Assets is currently about 4 trillion USD, with a growth potential of no less than 10 times in the next 10 years. Even if the market capitalization reaches 40 trillion USD, there is still room for rise compared to the traditional asset scale of hundreds of trillions. Previously, on May 1st, it was reported that Cai Wensheng purchased the entire building in Tin Hau, with the transaction target being the “PARK AURA” commercial building on Tin Hau Road. The property was completed in 2020, standing 25 stories high (basement to 24th floor), with a floor area of approximately 2041 square feet and a total floor area of about 53,000 square feet. Cai Wensheng plans to turn this building into an AI-Web3 startup center: the 1st to 2nd floors will feature an AI-themed café (similar to garage café models), with an accompanying space for AI technology lectures. Some floors will be designated as AI-Space shared office areas, available for free for Hong Kong entrepreneurs to apply for use. The remaining floors will be planned as studios in the AI and Web3 fields.
